Satellite Media Tours
A very cost-effective PR tool, SMTs connect
a spokesperson with news stations across the country. Stories
can achieve nationwide exposure in only a few hours. Generally
consisting of spokesperson interviews or product demos,
SMTs usually take place in a studio but can be done remotely
from virtually any location. SMTs can be sponsored by a
single client or conducted as a CO-OP, where 3-4 complementary,
but noncompetitive products are featured. Generally, the
same standards of commerciality apply to SMTs as to other
types of in-studio bookings. DBA will help you decide what
type of SMT gets you the best results. We handle every aspect
of the tour, from securing interviews to all production
and distribution needs. And upon completion we provide segment
tracking and a final report detailing the success of the
event.
Video News Releases
A short,
pre-packaged news feature distributed to TV stations by
satellite or hard copy, a successful VNR presents a client's
message in a way that meets the criteria for an editorially
sound news story. VNRs are perfect vehicles for stories
that have wide viewer appeal, and a longer shelf life. Many
stations use VNRs covering evergreen topics such as health
breakthroughs, new technologies or latest trends.
B-Roll News Packages
Similar to video news releases, B-roll
packages are often used when the news is of a very timely
nature and there is less of a need for TV stations to receive
a pre-produced package. These packages consist of video
footage and spokesperson interviews packaged with introductory
slates that inform reporters of story details and editorial
contacts. B-roll packages do not include a fully written
story and voice-over, so they can be a less expensive option
for the right story.
Public Service Announcements
A public service announcement (PSA) is a non-commercial
advertisement aired on radio or television, ostensibly for
the public good. PSAs are intended to shape public attitudes
by raising awareness about specific issues or events. Often,
a charitable organization releasing a PSA enlists the support
of a celebrity.
Radio Phoner Campaigns
Similar to SMTs,
these cost-effective PR tools are a convenient “no-travel-necessary”
method that connects spokespeople with radio stations across
the country for numerous interviews in a short period of
time.
