FUJITSU TO SHOWCASE ITS BROADEST RANGE OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE PLASMAVISION SLIMSCREENŽ PLASMA MONITORS AT CES 2004

The company's new product line for the consumer market includes the high-definition 63-inch P63XHA30WS, the industry's first 55-inch model, the P55XHA30WS, plus three upgraded versions of Fujitsu's acclaimed plasma display monitors, the 50-inch P50XHA30WS, 42-inch P42HHA30WS, and 42-inch P42VHA30WS. All five new Plasmavision monitors feature Fujitsu's Advanced Video Movement (AVM) processor, which virtually eliminates motion artifacts and flicker, improves vertical resolution and reproduces natural movement with ease.

In addition to the monitors' AVM processing, all five Fujitsu Plasmavision displays feature DVI-D digital inputs with High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) for optimum reception of all digital television broadcasts. All monitors are designed for unmatched custom installation versatility, offering placement options that include wall-, ceiling- or stand-mounting, along with a wide array of video and audio connections plus RS-232 control ports for integrated system operation.
High-quality stereo amplifiers with external speaker outputs and volume, treble, bass and balance controls in all displays facilitate their use in multimedia applications or as a complete video plus stereo-audio systems using optional matching speakers.
All Plasmavision monitors are supplied with an ergonomic remote control that gives installers and users access to a menu system with comprehensive control of the monitor's functions and picture adjustments. In addition, controls on the monitor itself are located on the right front edge for easy access, and are styled to discreetly blend with the monitor's appearance.
The P63XHA30WS: Fujitsu's Largest-Ever Plasma Display Monitor
Fujitsu's largest-ever plasma display, the high-definition P63XHA30WS, incorporates a high-definition panel that is compatible with all digital and analog formats including 1080i and 720p HDTV, as well as 480i and 480p SDTV signals. In addition to its DVI-D digital input, this 1366 x 768 pixel panel features a full suite of audio and video connections for maximum installation versatility.Further enhancing image quality in both the P55XHA30WS and the P63XHA30WS, Fujitsu employs 10-bit signal processing for each of the panel's R, G and B input signals, resulting in an astounding 1.07 billion color display resolution - a dramatic improvement compared to previously attainable resolution, providing significantly more lifelike color accuracy, with much finer subtleties and gradations between colors.
The P63XHA30WS Plasmavision SlimScreen monitor will be available this month for a suggested retail price of $24,999.
The P55XHA30WS: Industry's First 55-inch Monitor, World's First With e-ALiS Technology
Fujitsu's first 55-inch plasma monitor, the P55XHA30WS, is the industry's first 55-inch plasma display and also the world's first plasma display to feature the revolutionary e-ALiS technology. This extension of the company's ALiS technology was developed by Fujitsu for plasma monitors larger than 50 inches. It utilizes progressive scan technology and yields exceptionally sharp big-screen image quality with superlative color accuracy and ultra high brightness.
