Las Vegas, NV,
January 5, 2006 - HANNspree California, Inc., creator of
a brand new category of design-driven, lifestyle-inspired home entertainment
products, today introduced a technological breakthrough in wireless
home entertainment networking – the compact and discrete HANNSvidilink
– a Wireless Video Transmitter and Receiver system that lets
users easily expand their home entertainment systems throughout
the home without wires.
The sleek two-piece HANNSvidilink
system is a state-of-the-art wireless A/V interface (IEEE 802.11a)
that includes a powerful transmitter and receiver. The video signals
are securely transmitted with an encrypted proprietary protocol
utilizing High level QoS, continuous buffer management algorithms
and the MPEG-2 video format for crystal clarity without picture
distortions or interruptions. With the HANNSvidilink system, users
can send video and audio signals to TVs located anywhere in the
house, including several rooms away, without having to run bulky
cables through walls or under floors.
Using the HANNSvidilink
system, TV viewers can watch simultaneous DVD, cable or satellite
programming on different sets throughout the house, or listen to
music in different rooms - all without wires. They can also use
the transmitter to send live video from a camcorder in a remote
location. Consumers whose PCs are interconnected to their home entertainment
systems will also find the HANNSvidilink useful for sending video
and audio signals directly from their computers to TVs or stereo
systems.
What sets the HANNSvidilink
technology apart from competing systems in today’s market
is the device’s unique ability to deal with potentially image-degrading
interference, as well as its long-range transmission capabilities.
By using full QOS (Quality of Service) protocols, HANNSvidilink
can easily manage conflicting signals and interference and still
deliver full picture quality with confidence and without interruption.
The transmitter features an automatic NTSC/PAL video system and
transmits to distances up to 350 feet without obstructions.
“Today’s home entertainment systems often include a
multitude of components,” noted HANNSpree’s Vice President,
Marketing and Product Planning Michael Amkreutz, “including
DVD players, cable TV boxes, satellite receivers, receivers, DVRs
and HDTV tuners, as well as connected PCs. HANNspree’s technology
engineers created the HANNSvidilink system as an easy-to-use wireless
solution that lets
people tie their home entertainment systems together and literally
expand their overall home entertainment experience. And like all
HANNspree products, the HANNSvidilink does its job in style, with
an aesthetic design that fits with the décor of any room.”
The HANNSvidilink comes
with a 5.35 GHz wireless transmitter (transmission power 50mW at
20MHz) and a receiver. The stylish system is also extremely compact
at 8.7 by 1.8 by 5.9 inches (W x H x D) for each component. Accessories
include a composite video cable, S-Video cable, audio cable, AC
to DC power adapter, IR Blaster and stands. A full complement of
audio video connections is included.
HANNSpree will be demonstrating its new HANNSvidilink at its CES
2006 Booth #21707 (LVCC, South Hall).
